I was a regular surface warfare officer in the United States Navy, trying to figure out what I wanted from my future. I  was $30,000 with no job lined up, no idea where I wanted to live, and a pipe dream of an idea of what I wanted to do.  

 

Today, I haven't had a W-2 income in 3 years, but I've managed to 3x my net worth as a full time grad student at my dream university. I've even been featured in articles like in Forbes, Business Insider, and Travel Noire.
