I fully believe that money isn't about buying things.

It's about voice.
It's about advocacy.
It's about buying the opportunity to define what's important to you

Let me just be completely transparent for one second.
This is the part where I tell you all the things I've accomplished, the awards I've won, the features I've appeared in. Now, I could fill this page about how I traveled to 15 countries on my own dime. I could tell you how I was featured in Forbes, how I bought a house for $5,000 and sold it for $150,000, and how I used the money to pay for my first semester at Yale.

But that's not what I want you to know about me.

I want you to know that I'm a student-midwife who's passionate about access to safe birthing options for Black families. I want you to know that I advocate for economic equity in my community. That I'm passionate about traveling because I was raised on three different continents.

So why the heck do I talk about finances?

Financial independence buys me the ability to advocate for the causes that are important to me. It buys me freedom from fear of retribution, backlash, and targeting so that I can continue to pursue what I believe is right. It buys me the ability to travel when I need self-care, see my family when they need me, and enjoy the life I choose to build.

And it's SO incredibly important that you do the same! Because the world needs your voice, your advocacy, and your activism. The world needs you to be financially independent, too. It needs to see your joy, your creativity, and your laughter.

Most of all, the world needs to see your activism, your persistence, and your freedom.

That's what this is about.

That's what I'm about.
